Large Iron Tortilla Press

The enjoyment of making homemade tortillas has been shared in our family over the last 10 years.

We have bought aluminum tortilla presses or other cast iron versions and I will say that have not lasted. This beautiful beast is heavy duty and with a large diameter of 10 inches to press out even the biggest of tortillas.

Netherton Foundry is a family-owned business located in South Shropshire, England. Their mission to restore the misuse of the Industrial Revolution that began in this very region back in the 18th century starts with sourcing their materials locally, primarily in the region of Shropshire. We admire that they are working sustainably with their partners to use finishes and materials that can be restored and even improve with age. Hand-spun iron wares are beautiful to cook on. They are the lightweight versions of cast iron with great heat retention and even distribution as well as a surface that can be seasoned over and over again to create a natural non-stick finish.
