Maple Pasta Board - 20 x 24 in.
We fell in love with making fresh pasta, but one thing that wasn't working was rolling out the dough on our tiled kitchen counter, so ensued the search for a pasta board made locally. John Bohman, the maker behind Dovetail Furniture Company has tackled many specialty projects for us at Three Bales and we are honored he made us our first board and now we sell them in the shop! His woodshop is located right here in Missoula, Montana where he creates custom furniture, full kitchen build-outs and more.
Don’t assume this pasta board can't be used for other tasks around your home like: rolling and shaping pastry, pizza and sourdoughs, it makes a great lap puzzle board or an instant legless- serving tray on top of a bed.
Care Instructions:
Similarly to any wood cutting board the better you condition the wood the longer it will last without forming cracks or warpage.
Bee’s oil or mineral oil (only) are excellent for maintaining your wood products, penetrating and protecting your natural wood surfaces from drying, cracking, or splitting. Wash your cutting board with an earth-friendly, mild soap and warm water and DRY IMMEDIATELY. Never soak your wood products as they will absorb, expand, and warp from the water. Never put your wood products through the dishwasher. After thoroughly drying your cutting board, rub bee’s oil or mineral oil on all sides of your board with a soft cloth as needed, about every three washes or when wood is starting to look a little dry. Never use vegetable oil to treat wood as it will turn rancid.
