Knife Sharpening Workshop - DATE NIGHT ED.
A Date Night with an Edge: Valentine’s Knife Sharpening Workshop 💘🔪
A Date Night Built Around Learning Something Together.
Join us for a special Valentine’s edition of our beloved Knife Sharpening Workshop—designed for couples who want to learn a practical skill together while enjoying a cozy, convivial evening at the shop. This hands-on class is a fun, tactile way to slow down, connect, and walk away with a skill you’ll use for a lifetime.
With a small appetizer spread to snack on, a discounted ticket price for pairs, and expert guidance throughout, this workshop makes for an unexpected (and very satisfying) alternative to the usual dinner-and-drinks routine.
You and your partner will learn the fundamentals of sharpening your own quality kitchen knives at home—no more dull blades, no more shipping knives away, and no more waiting weeks for them to come back. Just confident, self-reliant care for the tools you use every day.
With thoughtful instruction from our wonderful local makers, you’ll each leave with:
- A freshly sharpened knife (please bring one of your own to practice on)
- Hands-on experience using whetstones
- The confidence to maintain your knives at home, together
What to Bring
- One favorite kitchen knife per person
- Two whetstones (1000 & 3000 grit), or a comparable combo stone
Prefer to keep it simple? Choose the Workshop + Stone option and purchase one of our combo stones at a special class-only discount. - A safe way to transport your knife (thick cloth, storage box, leather sheath, etc.)
