The Everyday Leather Bag, Carryall

Carried every day, better every year.

The Carryall is our medium size, and it holds more than it looks like it should: a book, wallet, keys, phone, sunglasses, a small water bottle, a snack for your litton one and with room left over. Take it to work on Monday and fill it with a farmers market haul on Saturday. The design echoes Paige's very first leather bag, the one she saved up for in college, so it reads as timeless rather than of-the-moment. If you carry more than a day's worth, the same bag comes in a larger Tote size.

It's made in the United States from vegetable tanned leather and finished entirely by hand. The construction is hand-laced rather than riveted, which lets the leather move and soften naturally while keeping its structure. Comfortable straps let you carry it by hand or over the wrist. There's no hardware doing the work here, just skill.

How To Use

• Carry by hand or slip it over your wrist. The 4.5" strap drop is sized for both.
• Let it fill out. The leather softens and shapes to what you carry as you use it.
• Wipe clean with a dry cloth and condition occasionally with a natural leather balm.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to water and direct heat.

A Note on Vegetable Tanned Leather

Vegetable tanned leather is untreated, so it changes as you use it. It starts a pale pink and deepens with time and sunlight into a light honey brown. The photo shows roughly one week of sun. Every bag ends up a slightly different color depending on how it's carried, which is the point.

We're drawn to pieces that rely on skill rather than hardware: objects made simply, carried often, and built to last for years. This one will pick up subtle marks and a deeper color the longer you have it, which is a bag improving rather than wearing out. It's meant to be lived with, not replaced.
