A full plate in one set: two needle-felted eggs at 2.5 inches each and a four-inch strip of hand-sewn bacon with a wire inside, so it can be waved and curled the way real bacon comes out of the pan. It arrives with a 5 by 5 inch yellow ceramic plate shaped like a ravioli, which means the whole breakfast is ready to be served the moment it's unwrapped. Children tend to go straight for the bacon.

It's part of the Dear Mother collection, handmade by Denise, Paige's mom. The eggs are needle felted by hand and the bacon is hand sewn from wool felt, so no two sets come out quite the same. Small variations are the point rather than the flaw.

Ways to Play

• Serve breakfast on the yellow plate, then serve it again.
• Bend the bacon into a wave or a curl. It holds the shape.
• Add it to a play kitchen, a market stand, or a tea party already in progress.
• Spot clean the felt pieces only. Wash the ceramic plate by hand.
