What is an emergency candle?

Back in World War II short tapers were stocked in hotels, hostels, bars, etc. for travelers when there would be power outages. A smaller candle they could purchase to burn through the night.

These hand-dipped tapers are made in Missoula, Montana by a great candlemaker, Bethany. Sourced only using beeswax from apiaries in Montana.
