A pillowcase is the piece of bedding your face spends the whole night against, which is why the fiber matters more here than anywhere else on the bed. Linen breathes. It moves air instead of holding heat, so it does not go warm and damp under your cheek the way tightly woven cotton can. Pre-washed in a natural enzyme bath, these are soft the first night and softer every wash after. They wrinkle, and that is the point. No ironing, no fuss, just a relaxed finish that looks right on an unmade bed.

The cloth is 100% European flax, woven at 165 GSM and crafted in Portugal, the same linen as our Truffle Stripe sheets. The stripe is wide and dark chocolate brown, woven into a soft white ground rather than printed on top, and it runs the same direction as it does on the sheets, so the bed reads as one piece. Each case closes with an envelope back, which keeps the pillow tucked in without buttons or ties to press against your head. Sold as a set of two in Standard/Queen and King.

How To Use

• Slip your pillow in and tuck the loose end into the envelope flap so it sits flat.
• Skip the iron. Smooth the case with your hand and let the wrinkles fall where they will.
• Wash pillowcases more often than sheets. They take the most oil and see the most wear.
• Line dry or hang dry whenever you can. The dryer is hard on linen over time and thins the cloth. If you do tumble, use low heat and take them out slightly damp.
• Machine wash cold or warm. No bleach, no fabric softener. Both weaken the fibers.
