As the seasons change our lingering time to sit on the back porch under our string lights is not yet lost with this cozy companion. Aside from the amazing aspect of these blankets being machine washable unlike other wool textiles, they have a great story. It's hard to recycle wool fibers because they tend to be short leaving them hard to reweave. This family-owned Scottish blanket design company found a great solution of taking those short length recycled wool fibers and spinning them with garments doomed for the landfill. This creates a durable and soft yarn thats woven into a dense twill. On average each year they are able to save 1.2 million garments from the landfill to make the yarn for all their recycled wool blankets. Dyed only with AZO free dyes save for sensitive skin and the planet.
